Why I Like Economics

A little knowledge really goes a long way. Take the simple supply and demand model. You can explain why Michael Jordan makes millions of dollars a year, and Nike basketball shoes cost $150 a pair, and at the same time explain why some people can’t afford a bagel for breakfast.

Why I Like Teaching

I enjoy learning and never get tired of asking questions. Teaching is a continuous journey back and forth between the forest and the trees. The walk still thrills me.

What I Like To Do

Be with family and friends; wife Shaun (19 years!), daughter Nicole (17), son Zack (11)

Play and watch sports: golf, basketball, football

Be outdoors: hiking, swimming, camping, sitting around a fire

Eat: pasta, Chinese, ice cream

Favorite Quotes

Work like you don't need the money.  Love like you've never been hurt.  Dance like nobody's watching. (Satchel Paige)

Half of life really bites, the other half is totally awesome.  ( Zack Sicotte at age 8.)
