The following equipment is needed for this course:
IBM or IBM-Compatible Computer:
- 486DX100 (or faster processor), Pentium or Pentium Pro processor recommended.
- 16 megabytes or more of available RAM (32 megabytes recommended)
- 14400 modem (28800 recommended)
- Windows 3.1 (Windows 95 or 98 recommended)
- CD-ROM drive, 8x (16-speed recommended)
- Hard disk with a minimum of 100 MB of free disk space
Macintosh:
- 68040 processor, Power PC processor recommended
- Macintosh system software 7.1 or higher
- 16 megabytes or more of available RAM (21 megabytes recommended)
- Hard disk with a minimum of 100 MB of free disk space
Internet Connection
The computer must be configured with a connection to the Internet.
Each student will be assigned an e-mail account and will receive Ednet training at the course orientation.
Browser
The course is designed to a minimum of HTML 3.2 standards. The browser you select must support these standards. We recommend either Netscape Communicator or Microsoft Internet Explorer version 4.0 or later. A CD with the browser software will be provided at the course orientation.
The following software is required for this course:
- Word Processor (MS Word or WordPerfect)
- Adobe Acrobat Reader (To be provided)
- FirstClass Client Software (To be provided)
